Jesus of the day: "Oval Mary & Jesus"

Today my wife visited me for the first time. Since she didn't want to sleep in a flat where there is a camera taking a picture every minute, we booked a hotel room nearby. Which proves to be a bit of a desaster (mouldy pralines in a room for 185 Euro a night? Drop me a line if you want to know where NOT to stay!)
I also visited my parents. While my mother should know that I'm a little off the rocker she was a bit more concerned when she heard about this project. However, since then we always come back to this issue of religion/belief/church. Maybe it's due to the fact that my mum stayed in a catholic boarding school for some years and this might have had interesting effects. I think she never dropped out of church but she won't have anything to do with the institution that is church. I have to say however that I was not raised in a anti-church way. I was always told that I could do what I wanted, just that my parents might not be the right people to ask any questions, I should go see the priest.
So I spent some time chatting about the project and about Jesus but I didn't have any deep thoughts or new insights to be honest.
What's interesting though is that this project is a topic for concersation among the family of my wife similar to the weather, who done what, illnesses and children. Which is a bit weird because usually I don't have to talk too much about myself at such occasions. Now I sort of have to. But everybody seems quite fine the project and so it's fun.
