| DAY 19 May 14th, 2008 Jesus of the day: "Pietà from Israel" ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Wow. Today I experienced the first big equipment glitch in the surveillance camera. Or no, it isn't. Just that the camera software froze while I wasn't there, so I'm losing like a half a days worth of pictures. But I wasn't home anyway. So I'm trying to fix that now. Again, this could be connected to the Jesus day, if you want to go down that alley. The italian word pietà stands for pity. And my wife and me were somewhat wallowing in self-pity over our hotel experience which ended today, with the romm maid trying to enter the room despite the fact that the "do not disturb" sign was out on the door. But I think this would be going to far. One of my guests called me today to approve the piece I had written aout about their visit and I spoke with Axel who confirmed to me that his parents actually had enjoyed their visit. It's nice to hear that people liked it. Again, I had no guests today because I had to do the writing ... I hadn't thought that the writing part is such an extensive one. And of course the talking part and the thinking part ... self-pity again? No, rather a sort of amusement. |
