GUESTS OF DAY 17 - May 12th
Today is a public holiday. Pentecost. (I'm
learning a lot of english expressions for religious things these days).
My wife has visited me this evening for the first time. She is the one
who is most involved in this project, apart from me, but not by choice.
She found herself in it rather involuntarily.
She went me with me to flea markets and she had to listen to me talk about
the project since July 2007. When the project is over in July 2008, she
will have been living with the guy who is living with Jesus for a whole
year.
She was surprised that the room doesn't look too crammed with Jesus images.
Since they are hanging on the walls and are not just stacked on the floor
somewhere, the room is actually roomier. And I think she appreciates the
fact that I'm now cleaning my flat more often.
Her reactions to single images were not very strong because she knew all
of them in advance.
We had a rather short evening, since she felt a little uncomfortable with
the camera clicking away. So we just atlked about the project and what
kind of effects it has on people, especially our family. She said that
thanks to the project, my brother in law not finally has something he
can talk to me about. Which is funny because he and me are interested
in Jesus and religion for completely different reasons. I'm the obersever
who's trying to find (surreal) meaning in absurd spots, he believes in
God.
