"The Crown of Thorns"

IAnother really cheap image. Just one Euro at ebay was needed to get this rather large picture. It's a print that has been transferred to some sort of wood backing. I'm assuming this as the image itself has holes from the wood worm in it.
I would characterise this motive as a typical christian motive. It's the suffering that seems to be the basic element of christianity and it's probably one of the reasons why I'm not really interested to join the catholic church for example. I'm not in it for the suffering. I like to be in a good mood. I like to be relaxed and I certainly don't want to see other people suffer.
So, I'm close to saying that I would never put a picture like this up at home, but then I have and many of them.
When you look at this image at a certain angle (no, not on the monitor, in real life), then you can see something like a skull where Jesus' face is supposed to be. This was pointed out by Florian Naroska, who is a bit taller than me. So maybe it was easier for him to detect. I tried to make a picture of it (below) but it didn't really come out well.
