JESUS # 38 - July 9th


"Father And Son"

This is an awsome picture I bought at the weirdest flea market ever. It was more of an antiques market to be exact and it was the one where I saw a high amount of both vintage porn and 3rd Reich militaria. In between was this huge and unusual print.

Jesus sort of has done his job. He has taken off the crown of thorns, his wounds are all healed and the cross he's tugging is from the props department of heaven, brought in especially for this photo shooting. God is equipped with an array of power-insignia, complete with the pyramid-shaped halo.

Jesus has a sort of questioning look, described by one of my guests as "How long do have to keep the feet in the water, still?" Referring to both of them using the ocean as a foot-bath.

The two angels on the left and right have one hand behind their backs. Whether they're holding earth steady, hiding something or scratching their bums only the painter knows.

So all in all this is a magnificent image, with beautiful colours and an inspiring setting.
